CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Multiple law enforcement agencies collaborated in a child exploitation investigation that resulted in the arrest of a Tuscarawas County man.
According to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, Chad Robert Ryan was arrested on Saturday after he arrived to a location thinking that he arranged to pay $1,000 in exchange for sex with a woman and her 14-year-old daughter.
The 44-year-old man was charged with compelling prostitution, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and possessing criminal tools; all felony crimes.
The men, identified as 25-year-old Spc. Anthony Xavier Antwon, and 30-year-old Pfc. Timmy Jones Jr., face a felony charge of prostitution under the age of 18. According to the Killeen Police Department, 32-year-old staff Sgt. Pierre Jean, 32, received a Class A misdemeanor charge for prostitution. Law enforcement stated Jones and Antwon are stationed at Fort Hood. X Both are being held at the Bell County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Grand Island, Nebraska– The Grand Island Police Department, with the assistance of the Hall County Sheriff’s, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Nebraska State Attorney General’s Office, arrested two suspects in a sex trafficking case. Court records indicate that one of the men is suspected of trafficking two victims, one between March and November of 2018 and the other between December 2018 and September 2019. If convicted, the max penalty for human trafficking is 50 years in prison.
Rocky Ford, Colorado– A twenty-six-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of soliciting for child prostitution and attempted sexual exploitation of a child by the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Metro Vice Unit. The CSPD MVU began investigating the suspect in April by setting up an online profile of who he thought he was soliciting sexual intercourse and sexually explicit photographs from a 16-year-old female. In actuality, it was an undercover CSPD officer.
